For the new Pic and Pad padel and pickleball center in Herford, we delivered a total of five courts. The project includes three panoramic padel courts and two pickleball courts.
The facility brings together two rapidly growing racket sports in one location and provides modern playing conditions for both padel and pickleball.
Pic and Pad in Herford is a modern racket sports center that brings padel and pickleball together in one location. We delivered three panoramic padel courts and two pickleball courts, creating the sporting foundation for a versatile and attractive facility.
The combination of both sports allows the center to appeal to different groups of players and provides flexible opportunities for training, recreational play and events. Throughout the project, the focus was on high-quality playing surfaces, professional execution and a consistent overall appearance.
The three panoramic padel courts are a defining feature of Pic and Pad and give the facility a modern and open appearance. Their reduced structural design around the glass panels minimizes visual obstructions and provides excellent views of the playing area for both players and spectators.
In addition to the visual design, the focus was on the sporting requirements of the courts. High-quality materials, dedicated padel turf and professional lighting provide reliable and consistent playing conditions.
In addition to the three padel courts, Pic and Pad features two dedicated pickleball courts. This adds another internationally growing racket sport to the center and creates even greater variety within the facility.
Pickleball combines an accessible introduction to the sport with fast and dynamic gameplay. This makes it suitable for a wide range of age groups and playing levels and provides an ideal complement to the existing padel offering.
At Pic and Pad, delivered the sports-specific areas for both padel and pickleball with a strong focus on creating a consistent overall concept. The quality of the individual components was just as important as their precise coordination – from the court systems and playing surfaces to the lighting and functional details throughout the facility.
The result is a modern racket sports center that combines padel and pickleball both functionally and visually. The different areas work together technically and aesthetically, creating a high-quality and cohesive facility designed for long-term and intensive use.
