In some building areas, certain designs or materials in the garden area are even restricted or prohibited (Section 8 BauO NRW). Whether your project is exempt from approval therefore always depends on local regulations and the respective development plan.
We therefore strongly recommend that you clarify the building law situation with the responsible authority before implementation in order to avoid difficulties later on.
